Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay Trailer Premier

Finally! After confirming last week that the next Call of Duty title will indeed be Modern Warfare 3, Infinity Ward has announced that they will premier a trailer of gameplay action tonight May 23rd during the NBA Western Conference Finals (around 6pm Pacific Time).

Having already confirmed the games release date for November 8th, 2011, this will be the world's first look at the newest Modern Warfare title. So what can we expect? Well you can get a sneak peek by visiting this website (http://www.callofduty.com/mw3/map.html) and viewing what they've described as the "teaser trailer" - but here's what else we know so far. The game opens just following the cliffhanger ending of Modern Warfare 2 with the U.S. struggling to fight off a surprise Russian attack. The single-player campaign will bounce players around the world as they take on the multiple different roles as a Russian Federal Protective Services agent, SAS Operative, tank gunner, and AC-130 gunner as well as key characters from previous installments and new recurring characters. The game should feature about 15 missions, kicking off with the invasion of Manhattan by a Russian force and wrapping up with a final encounter in Dubai.

Most Requested Modern Warfare 3 Features – As Picked By Fans

We asked our awesome, growing community of fans over on our Modern Warfare 3 rumors Facebook page what they most wanted to see in the new MW3 title, and the list grew quickly! If you've ever dropped by our page you know that fans of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 are a passionate bunch, and aren't afraid to share their feelings about the Call of Duty games or game developers! In anticipation for the pending announcement of the Modern Warfare 3 release date, we wanted to know what fans expect out of the upcoming title - so let's get started!

New Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 features

So what do fans of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 want out of the new title? Believe it or not, not everyone agreed on some of the most popular suggestions - there was a lot of "love it or hate it" going on. Let's take a look at what some hard core Call of Duty fans had to say:

Alejandro D. said "No quick scoping, melee only at a short distance... The MW2 melee is like using a katana". Many people agreed with him that they weren't fans of quick-scoping, but some were.
Both Victor J. and Edgar R. said "more Call of Duty killstreaks!!". We agree! I mean, who doesn't like a good COD killstreak now and then? They also wanted more weapons and more perks.
Gary W. wants an M4A1 and halo jumping - we also think they would make great additions to the game!
Ian M. and Jeff N. are both hoping that zombies are available for Modern Warfare 3, but Jack M. thinks "zombies are crap" and only a Treyarch thing. He puts the odds at 90% that they won't even make it into MW3 - what do you think?
Connor R. said "NUKES". Man, right on! Activision, are you listening?
Dylan B. suggests they "nerf" quickscoping a bit - don't ban it altogether, just tone it down.
Kevin S. and Pablo L. want the story to be solid, to make sure things stay entertaining.

Overall, there were a lot of great suggestions, and it sounds like what the majority of people want is more of the same - just better!! There were definitely a few dissenting voices who preferred Black Ops over MW2 and vice versa, but at the end of the day what everyone is looking forward to is getting a chance to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 - so let's get on with it Activision!

Modern Warfare 3 April Announcement

According to British magazine PSM3, the next title in the Call of Duty series will in fact be Modern Warfare 3, and it will be announced sometime this April. This rumor comes to us from inside Activision, and the source is known to be fairly reliable in these types of situations.

The source also confirmed that at the very least there will elements of the story which incorporate the well known character Ghost, and it could potentially be the prequel to Modern Warfare 2 that we've suspected for some time. An April announcement would give the games' developer ample time to ramp up press surrounding the release of Modern Warfare 3, and could set the stage for the largest first week sales record ever seen in the gaming industry.

If history is any indicator, Black Ops was announced on April 30th of last year, so it follows that they may make a similar announcement about MW3 sometime in the next 30 days. Stay tuned to Modern Warfare 3 Rumors and we'll let you know when we find out more!
