Insiders have told us the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 release date will be November 15th, 2011, just in time for the busy holiday gift buying season. Although our sources can't confirm the exact name of the title that will be released, it's widely expected that Modern Warfare 3 will be a follow up to the immensely successful MW2, and follow the storyline of one of the main characters, Ghost.

Modern Warfare 3 will be released with enormous expectations for the maker of the series, Activision, who has had a series of hits most recently with Black Ops and previously with the immensely popular MW2. Both previous titles set sales records for the game maker, easily selling over a billion dollars each within the first month of opening.

So what can we expect from MW3? Well, we can assume that a big component of the game will be the online multiplayer interaction, as well as a variety of Call of Duty cheats, maps, and additional upgrades and downloads. If the game is centered around the Ghost character, we can assume that it will be set in modern times, giving gamers a chance to play in a setting other previous mid-century war era timelines.
